I can’t resist a challenge, so late last year when my publisher called for stories for a new summer series called One Scoop or Two, I jumped in feet first. I’ll save my own announcement for later, but award-winning author Peggy Jaeger is revealing her cover for the series today and I’m thrilled to share it here.
All books in the series will be released as ebooks, making them less expensive and easy to load up on your favorite ereader. They’ll also be shorter than full-length novels, so considered novellas. Just perfect for an afternoon at the beach, or while traveling to and from a vacation destination. As might be surmised from the series’ name, One Scoop or Two, all books will have something to do with ice cream, with a flavor in each title.
Peggy is a master at crafting romances, and her “Vanilla with a Twist” promises a few heart flutters. I love her cover and can’t wait to share mine, but I may keep it under wraps until May. (Of course, as a mystery writer, I can tell you now there’s likely to be a murder in my story.)
Here’s the blurb from Peggy’s book:
Tandy Blakemore spends her days running her New England ice cream parlor, single-parenting her teenage son, and trying to keep her head above financial water. No easy feat when the shop’s machinery is aging and her son is thinking about college. Tandy hasn’t had a day off in a decade and wonders if she’ll ever be able to live a worry-free life.
Engineer Deacon Withers is on an enforced vacation in the tiny seaside town of Beacher’s Cove. Overworked, stressed, and lonely, he walks into Tandy’s shop for a midday ice cream cone and gets embroiled in helping her fix a broken piece of equipment.
Can the budding friendship that follows lead to something everlasting?

I’ll share more covers from this upcoming series as they roll out.
